The rain finally stopped coming down when I got home from work last night. I thought I’d go for a bike ride to take advantage of the rare dry spell as every good Oregonian should after many weeks of rain, cold, and dampness. I threw my camera into my bag, grabbed my bike and headed out.  About 10 minutes into my ride the rain came back. This is something I should have anticipated. But I did not take sort of rain gear with me. At first it was no big deal. I’m used to being wet so I rode on. However, a few minutes later it really started coming down. I was getting soaked and rain drops that covered the lenses of my glasses made it difficult to see so I took shelter in the doorway of an industrial building that was all closed down.  As I stood there waiting for the rain to subside I noticed the reflection of my front wheel in a puddle. I took out my camera and left my shelter and went back out into the pouring rain so I could shoot the reflection. I guess this story doesn’t have much of a point other than to say if you’re in Oregon, you’re probably going to get soaking wet.
